This story is one that is guaranteed to anger anyone with a heart.
19-year-old Jodi Leann Rock (Facebook) and her boyfriend, Jessie Sanders, severely abused her 13-month-old child. Th poor kid had broken bones and burns from a flat iron used to straighten hair. The affidavit describing these injuries is very graphic. I cannot imagine what this child must have gone through. I can only hope that his life is better from now on.
Terry R. Estes, 32, of Marlow, Oklahoma appeared in Stephens County court today. He was charged with Lewd Or Indecent Acts to a Child Under 16 and was held on a $50,000 bond.
26-year-old Jaymie Adams who was last seen around 11:00 PM on December 9, 2011 by her husband, Justin Adams, at their home in Blanchard, OK. Jaymie’s 2004 Chrysler Town & Country van was located at McDonald’s at 9000 SE 29th Street in Oklahoma City the next morning. The van was locked, but Jaymie was nowhere to be seen.
Max W. Thomas Jr. was convicted of sexual battery in September of this year. He is a level three sex offender whose crime was classified as “aggravated.” Thomas received a 5-year suspended sentence. He lives in Ryan, Oklahoma. I am aware of concerned citizens in Thomas’s neighborhood who worry about such an offender living in their midst. You see, since Thomas lived there before his crime, authorities say he can reside at the same place -even if it is only a block from the school. Regardless, you still have the right to know. Thomas, on the other hand, has no right to be on Facebook.
