Write for CSN
CrimeShadows News is looking for guest posters and bloggers. Your post should fit the topic of true crime. It should also be unique and relevant to the theme of CrimeShadows News. The criteria for posting is below. If this does not describe you or your post, then this probably isn’t the place for you.
- You must have a genuine interest in true crime.
- You should be on the side of the victims, not the perpetrators.
- You must be able to write with proper spelling and grammar.
- You must have at least a basic knowledge of the law and the criminal justice system.
You don’t have to be a published author or an established blogger to be accepted. New writers in this genre are encouraged. I don’t like conspiracy theories or wild and baseless accusations or theories. A common sense approach based on reality and the law is preferred. Feel free to express your individuality by writing in your own style.
Please, write about subjects that probably aren’t being written about here. I’m looking for new ideas and different stories. You are allowed to express your own point of view, even if it differs from mine. The only exceptions to this are posts that are pro-criminal, anti-punishment, or posts that show a lack of respect for the victims. I do not like serial killer fans, the glamorization of crime, or people exploiting an entertainment value out of another’s suffering.
Posts may (or may not) be edited for spelling and grammar. Comments from viewers will be allowed and encouraged. You can get an idea about "what goes" here by reading my terms.
If you agree to the conditions and the above criteria fits, simply register here at CrimeShadows News. Send me a message using the Contact Form, placing the words "Guest Post" in the subject line.
Tell me who you are, a little bit about yourself, and what you plan on writing about. Please provide a link to any of your writing that may be online.
If you are approved, I will contact you and change your registered user status to "contributor." You will then be authorized to write your post. Just log-in to the site and click on "write." You will be allowed to post a maximum of two posts in any given month (there is no obligation to post at all or ever again).
You may provide links back to your own website, blog and/or profile. You may upload a maximum of two images for each post, with a pixel limit of 200×200 maximum. Try to keep the word count below 2000 words. Your content remains completely yours and you may republish it anywhere else you wish. You retain all copyright to your work. You can even include your own copyright notice in your post(s).
Guest posts do not generate revenue. You will not be paid. Advertising, solicitation of donations, etc. is not allowed without express permission from me. What you will get is the chance to share your knowledge and opinions on an established blog, and perhaps promote your own website or blog.
If you are not accepted, please, don’t take it personally. In case you haven’t noticed, I can be kind of finicky at times and I am very possessive of my blog. Try not to let that scare you away.
Thanks, Chris Yarbrough Webmaster
