Investigator’s New Evidence May Free Death Row Inmate
A press conference held earlier this month announced newly discovered evidence in the murders of four people in a Winter Garden, Florida furniture store in 1975. The press conference was held at the Orange County Courthouse on April 11. Lynn-Marie Carty, female Private Investigator and CEO of ReunitePeople.com, announced that she had “discovered information involving a former member of law enforcement who was deeply involved in the investigation and conviction of Mr. Zeigler.”
The shocking evidence described by Carty points to the innocence of William Thomas Zeigler and shows how Zeigler, himself a victim of the brutal crime, had been framed Robert Thompson –a former Oakland, Florida police chief. Thompson was the first police officer at the scene of the heinous murders. Carty said Thompson suppressed a police report that would raise questions about Zeigler’s guilt and changed his story on several occasions. Years after the murders, Thompson himself was arrested.
