The book’s author, John Stark Bellamy II, presents these true tales of Cleveland’s yesteryear with a masterful style and entertaining prose that tales the reader back in time.
20-month-old Malia Ransom was brought to the emergency room of Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City. Police were called to the hospital when it was determined the child did not have a chance in the world left to live. Officers interviewed 24-year-old Cierra Mona Ransom and her beau, 30-year-old Omar Jamon Hill at the hospital. No arrests were made there. The child was dead.
Stories of failure by CPS and DHS to protect children don’t ever seem to be in shortage. In Polk County, Arkansas, the latest story is horrifying. Dustin Horn, the DHS supervisor for the Polk County Department of Human Services, not only failed to protect those in his care, he is accused of sexually assaulting a foster child. But wait… That’s not all! He is also accused in another sexual assault of a woman.
