Where is Aja Johnson? The Search Must Continue!
Aja Johnson, only seven years old, is still missing. Lester Hobbs abducted her shortly after killing the child's mother. Tonya Hobbs battered body was found on January 24th, when the search began. They haven't been located since. But, Aja is still out there. We have to hope for the best –that she is alive and waiting to be rescued.
The OSBI says the case has generated leads across the nation. A house-to-house search was conducted in the Oklahoma town of Geronimo, where Tonya Hobbs was murdered. Still, investigators do not feel that finding Aja or her abductor will happen soon. They are baffled. Not even the car that Lester Hobbs took from his dead wife has been located. Hobbs may have had as much a 24 hour head-start before authorities were notified of Tonya Hobbs' murder and Aja's disappearance.
Where could they be? Is someone hiding them? Is Lester hiding with the child in some wilderness? Most importantly: Is Aja safe? We want these answers. We want them badly. But, it seems that we are helpless. That is why we must think of Aja. How truly helpless she must be in the hands of a murderer.
Reward Increased
A $20,000 reward is being offered for information on Aja Johnson's whereabouts.
Lester Hobbs has been charged (in absentia) with the murder of his wife, Tonya. The case has been profiled on America's Most Wanted.
Hobbs is a 46-year-old white male, about 6'1" and 190 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Hobbs has had plenty of time to grow facial hair to hide his identity. Of course, he could also be shaven. He may have resorted to dying his hair to alter his appearance. He has several tattoos all over his upper body. He has a tattoo of wings on his chest. The word "TONY" is tattooed on his left forearm. The word "LOVE" is tattooed on the top of his left wrist and across the back of his left fingers. The tops of his right fingers have the word "ROSE" tattooed across them. Hobbs has scars on his nose, chest, his left knee and his thigh.
Aja Johnson is a white female, about four feet tall and 65 pounds. Her build is very thin. She has brown hair and brown eyes. However, Lester Hobbs may have dyed and/or cut her hair to alter her appearance. Aja has a health condition which requires daily medication.
He was last seen driving a white, two-door 1992 Toyota Paseo with Oklahoma tag 577-BPW. The vehicle had no hubcaps and its back window was covered with plastic. They were last seen in Comanche County. People in the states of Oklahoma, Texas, California and Oregon should be especially alert. However, they could be anywhere.
Let us hope that Aja is safe and that Lester Hobbs will be brought to Justice.
