CSN Smackdown: Jeremy Alan Oedekerk
Way up North….

Jeremy Alan Oedekerk of Juneau, Alaska has made his way onto at least three social networking sites. He has done this in spite of the fact that most of these sites do not allow sex offenders. Oedekerk was convicted in August of 2001 for sexual abuse of a minor. That's right. He sexually abused a child and now he's mingling on the Internet. That's not right. We're going to make socializing a little bit more difficult for Mr. Oedekerk by contacting the sites concerned and asking them to remove his profiles.
Oedekerk has a MySpace page. The vast majority of his statuses show his mood as "horny." A horny man who has sexually abused a child is on a site like MySpace. That is wrong.
While I was writing this post, Oedekerk was Online.
Here's a pic of the sex offender at the supermarket where he is employed (from Oedekerk's MySpace):

He has a profile on Bebo. You can't view it unless your his friend, so I'm obviously not going to get a peek at it. It will be reported, though.
Oedekerk also has a profile on Facebook –where he has 146 friends. His marital status is listed as "Widowed," where on MySpace it is listed as "Divorced."
Alaska state law also requires Oedekerk to submit each electronic mail address, instant messaging address, and other Internet communication identifier used by the sex offender or child kidnapper. I wonder if the relevant authorities know that he has signed up for these sites?
The above social networking sites have been contacted regarding Oedekerk's status as a registered sex offender.
