All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Just because someone is accused, does not necessarily mean they are guilty.
This fact, however, does not diminish the right of the people to hold their own opinion, or their right to express that opinion freely.

Colonial Parkway Murders: Where is the Evidence?

Tonight on WTKR Channel 3 (Norfolk, Virginia), Mike Mather will be interviewing Bill Thomas regarding the 1986 murder of Cathleen Thomas and Rebecca Dowski. Bill is Cathleen's brother. The deaths are considered to be part of the Colonial Parkway murders.

Thomas would like to know exactly what evidence the FBI has in the case. He would also like to hear when that evidence will be submitted to modern testing, as has been promised by the FBI. The FBI promised a "top to bottom review" of all available evidence two months ago, after WTKR revealed that someone in the FBI leaked crime scene photos to the public. It was recently discovered that the FBI ordered the destruction of the rape kits in this unsolved case. While the kits may not have proven rape, the homicides were never solved. But, instead of holding on to any and all evidence in this elusive case, evidence was destroyed. Curious, isn't it? What evidence do they still have and where exactly is it?

The FBI owes it to the families, and most importantly, to the victims in this case to be more forthcoming and pro-active in solving these horrific murders.

This case has been too long on the back burner. Justice is long overdue. The FBI has offered a bit of new hope, but, to the families of those lost, actions speak much louder than words.
