Since the brutal murders of young couples along Virginia's Colonial Parkway first occurred in the 1980s, there have been many suspects considered. Some of those possible suspects will be discussed tonight at 11:00 P.M. EST on Norfolk, Virginia's WKTR NewsChannel 3.
Lynn-Marie Carty, Female Private Investigator and CEO of ReunitePeople.com, has been investigating the case of Michael Andrew Nicholaou, a known killer with a twisted dark side for many years. Having seen some of the compelling information Carty has shared with me over the years –a lot of which I have shared with you– I feel that Nicholaou is a strong person of interest in murders through out the region –including the Parkway case. Lynn-Marie Carty has been vigilant in not letting Nicholaou's crimes be forgotten. She is truly dedicated to seeing that answers are found in many of the cases that continue to sit unsolved.
Friends and supporters of CrimeShadows News have also developed a suspect who may be involved in at least two of the Parkway murders, and two other murders (not officially connected to the Parkway case) that occurred during that terrifying period –and within the same proximity. The possible connections, if confirmed, are chilling. Now that Law Enforcement is taking a serious look at the cases again, we hope that this person will be examined closely.
Thanks to continuing pressure from the families of the Parkway victim's and Fred Atwell's revelation of leaked case photos, the FBI has promised to take a serious look at the Parkway case. We hope that the keep their promise. One of the ways they can show their sincerity in this issue is to put together a task force. There is simply too much information for one person, no matter how well intentioned, to sort through on his own.
The Virginia's Chief Medical Examiner will be reviewing the records of each individual case, at the request of the Thomas family. The families of Cathleen Thomas and Keith Call have been instrumental in keeping this case in the eye of the public and, most importantly, in the eyes of the law. Mike Mather, investigative reporter for WKTR, has helped the families be heard, and his coverage has prompted law enforcement to action. Together, these people have helped gain the support and participation of other family members in getting the word out that this case must no longer sit on the back burner. Justice needs to be served.
