Be sure to check out the Dr. Phil show this Tuesday (October 27, 2009). Lynn-Marie Carty, Private Investigator and CEO and Founder of ReunitePeople.com will be a guest. Lynn-Marie Carty, female private investigator, has been a friend of CrimeShadows News since 2007, when she first introduced me to suspect Michael Nicholaou.
Michael Nicholaou's son, Nick, will also appear on the upcoming episode entitled "Sins of a Father." In 2006, Nick's world was shattered when his stepfather killed his stepmother and stepsister before killing himself. This tragic event has been very difficult for the young man to come to terms with. The show will examine the impact that that horrific day had upon Nick and perhaps help him to move on.
Lynn-Marie Carty started on Nicholaou’s trail when she was hired by a Vermont mother in 2001 to help find her daughter, Michelle Ashley. Ashley was the mother of Nicholaou’s two children and had disappeared in December of 1988 from their home in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Michelle had told her mother about Nicholaou’s controlling behavior, and stated that he might someday be responsible for her death. Nicholaou told police in Holyoke that Ashley had left with another man. Carty located Nicholoau, and asked him about Michelle Ashley. He accused her of being a drug user who had abandoned her children. Michelle Ashley remains a missing person to this very day.
In August of 1988, a pregnant Jane Boroski was attacked outside a market. At the time of Boroski’s attack, police were investigating the deaths of six women. Their bodies had been dumped in wooded areas of Vermont and New Hampshire. The unknown suspect was being referred to as the Connecticut River Valley killer.
After meeting with Lynn-Marie Carty and viewing the evidence and photos gathered by her, Boroski believes she has finally found the man responsible for trying to kill her in 1988. Jane Boroski is certain that Michael Andrew Nicholaou was the man responsible for her attack. Borowski will meet Nicholaou's son on the Dr. Phil show.
Dr. Phil will also present tips on dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder.
