Her body was discovered in Fairview, a wooded town eight miles outside of Coquille, more than a month later on Aug. 3, 2000. Remember Dr. Jerrold Ecklind? He’s the Ormond Beach, Florida guy that brandished a firearm at a man while taking off with a woman in handcuffs. Not content with that trouble, he was later arrested in a drugged-up state, guns in tow, controlled substances hidden in a flashlight, and boots on the wrong feet. He got off pretty easy –being a doctor and all, sometimes that’s the way it works out. At any rate, Ecklind found it a good idea to leave Volusia County and the Daytona Beach area.
