The body of Jody Nicole Rilee Wilson, 23, was found Friday, May 8, on the side of a road near the top of Poteau Mountain in LeFlore County, Oklahoma –near the Arkansas border. Jody, originally from New Jersey, was last seen alive on May 5. She had logged into her MySpace account on that day. That day was the same day that her husband, Donald Lee Bocephus Wilson, left with her three-month-old baby to attend a funeral in Clayton, New Mexico –almost 600 miles away. He would return to find his wife dead.

As of yet, no cause of death has been identified in this case. There were no apparent signs of bodily trauma. Her body, located by a paraglider, was left in the wilderness of the mountain top, nine miles away from her home. There was no sign of a struggle at the home, a trailer house at 307 Chickasaw in Wister.

Jody was the daughter of Jim Rilee, the deputy mayor of Roxbury, New Jersey. She had recently moved to Oklahoma where she met Wilson. They were wed on September 20, of 2008. There is a lot of speculation at this time regarding Jody’s husband. While there is a bit of strangeness in the events surrounding her disappearance, there is nothing solid pointing to him as a suspect at this point. Except for a protective order filed against him by a woman in October of 2003, Donald Wilson has no recorded history of violence. He was previously divorced from one wife in May 5, 1999 and from another just over a year later on May 22, 2000. According to a recently posted forum message, Jody’s Facebook account on May 5 (the day her husband left for New Mexico) displayed a note saying that she lost her cellphone and that anyone "really" needed to reach her, to call her husband. Donald "Bo" Wilson returned on Saturday to find his wife and her truck missing.

The couple lived in Wister, Oklahoma, a location very culturally different from New Jersey. As a former resident of the area, I can say that the area is a bit different even from the rest of Oklahoma. In many ways, people seem to be a lot more laid back. Some fear that may be the case with law enforcement’s investigation of this case. The O.S.B.I. is investigating, along with the LeFlore County Sheriff’s department. There are no suspects at this time. While many speculate that Jody’s husband may be behind her murder, the most important thing at this point is for more information to be gathered.

Jody Rilee Wilson’s truck, a 2002 Chevy S10 Blazer, pewter in color, Oklahoma license plate DTG-409, has not been found. This vehicle must surely hold clues as to what happened that fateful day and who was behind it.

Here are actual photos of the vehicle. Hopefully someone has seen it somewhere, or will soon. Since the truck is covered with mud in these photos, I am also providing a photo of a similar truck. This truck may very well hold the key to who committed this heinous act.
