Pastor John McCarroll’s Unholy Hole of Glory
"And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall." — Ezekiel 8:7
The motto on the home page of the Trinity Life Center Church states "Come as you are, but don’t leave like you came." Apparently, the pastor of that church actually practices what he preaches –at least when it comes to public restrooms. On April 8, John Franklin McCarroll, pastor of Trinity Life Center, entered a restroom that police had been investigating for its frequent misuse by those seeking indiscriminate sexual encounters. Once between the partitions of a stall, McCarroll allegedly ushered his deacon through a "glory hole" that had been made in the divider, exposing "it" to the occupant in the adjoining stall. The other man did not oblige the Reverend, but arrested him instead. He just happened to be an undercover officer seeking out the nasty visitors that have been bedeviling the public restroom.
For some time, the public restrooms at the Riverfront Park on Netherland Inn Road had been receiving unwanted attention from various promiscuous riff-raff. Law enforcement had been conducting a crackdown on the illicit activity, and McCarroll’s visit was quite timely. Pastors usually take a wide stance against such behavior, so the incident came somewhat as a surprise to McCarroll’s family and to church members. The police report stated that the investigating officer was:
"standing in a stall area, and he observed a penis appearing through a hole in the wall that separates the stalls"
The offending member was soon found by the officer to be attached to Pastor McCarroll.
Of course, the damage control is already in the works. The son of the possibly pervy pastor, John C. McCarroll, said "He is just flat out being victimized." The pastor’s poor, unwitting spouse expressed similar sentiment, stating "The stuff you’re hearing isn’t true. You couldn’t ask for a finer man in this whole wide world, and he was just a victim of circumstances." She has been married to McCarroll for 41 years. A deacon of the Trinity Life Center at 9829 Norton-Coeburn Road in coeburn, Virginia, a man named Gary Bush, refused to comment.
McCarroll has been charged with indecent exposure. Trial is slated for June 18.
