Doug Davis, Youth Pastor, Child Rapist

Another youth minister has raped another little girl. 30-year-old Doug Davis, of The Village, was booked into the Oklahoma County jail for second-degree rape, rape by instrumentation and making lewd proposals to a minor under the age of 16. Davis was a youth pastor at The Village Baptist Church. Davis had been texting the girl with inappropriate messages. He reportedly had sexual contact with her on at least two occasions. The girl was not affiliated with the church, but her family was a friend of Davis’s. An investigation is being made into the possibility of other victims. Davis worked with children in the same age range in his duties with the church. Davis was released on $40,000 bail, whereupon he found it necessary to delete his Facebook account. Davis was arrested at the church. As is customary with many church related cases, the church is clamming up, saying a statement at this time would be "inappropriate." An email from the pastor said that because "of a situation in the life of Doug Davis, he has resigned as our student minister.” Pastor Jim Butler also said “Keep our church, our youth group, and Doug in your prayers.” You might also throw a prayer or two in for the little girl there, Padre.
