Sabrina Matthews’ computer has been confiscated by the police. They are looking for any possible clues that may lead to her killer. A knife was found under her bed, where Sabrina’s father found her murdered Sunday afternoon. Tests are underway to see if it was the murder weapon and if there is any evidence to connect it to the man that slashed Matthews’ throat. There was no sign of forced entry to the home.
Sabrina Matthews’ mother had seen blood on the floor that morning. She thought it was mud tracked in by her husband. She had even left a note for Sabrina, asking her to clean it up.
Police have said that Livingston "Buzzy" Matthews, Sabrina’s father, has been questioned and is not considered a suspect. His older daughter accused him of punching her in the face last year. He was charged with assault in relation to the incident. The case was dismissed. Police have been called to the home on at least three occasions regarding domestic disputes. Livingston Matthews is a driver for the Administration for Children’s Services in New York City.
Police think Matthews may have been killed by someone she met online. Police are looking through her emails and other online activity. They are questioning men she may have been acquainted with. There are no suspects at this time.
