Justice Served Quickly to Predator Jeff Dallen
Jeffery Wayne Dallen was arrested on October 22, after it came to the attention of law enforcement that he had been molesting a child. Jeff Dallen confessed, and several more child victims came forward. In the end, Dallen was charged with 11 different counts of lewd molestation. All of the victims were students from Homer Elementary, where Dallen was employed as a music teacher. He pled guilty to all of the charges in a plea agreement.
It hasn’t even been a month since his arrest, yet Dallen is headed to prison. I am glad to see this offender taken off the street in such a timely fashion. If only other jurisdictions could work so prudently. Dallen has been sentenced to 25 years in prison and 25 years probation. Of course, it remains to be seen just how much time Dallen will actually serve. It’s not unusual, in fact it’s all too common, to see these guys get out after serving only a fraction of their original sentence. This is usually attributed to "good behavior," due to the fact that there are no children to molest in prison. As long as CrimeShadows News is around, we’ll be keeping an eye on Jeff Dallen.
Update: Dallen must serve at least 21 years and 3 months before he can be paroled.
Vickie Dallen, Jeff Dallen’s wife, is the lower elementary principal at Homer Elementary. On October 23, Vickie Dallen filed for divorce against her husband. Earlier, I had stated that the public was owed a statement from her, as she is in a position of authority at the school and also married to a child predator. I think she has made that statement satisfactorily by cutting loose from this deviant. These recent developments have certainly had to be a strain on her and her family. Jeff Dallen may be locked up for the time being, but he has caused tremendous harm to many people, especially those little ones entrusted to his care. I hope he is never able to set his hands, or even his eyes, on another child.
