Idabel Eye Doctor Involved In Strange Incident -Updated
Not much info, but what is being reported so far is a bit strange. A doe (deer) was shot, but it was a man found tied to a Jeep. An Idabel, Oklahoma optometrist, Darin Shupert, was found at the scene, "semi-conscious and shaking." Ice was found in the vehicle. Not ice, as in frozen water, but a form of methamphetamine.The headline of the story says a "body" was tied to the steering wheel. It is unclear if the story was referring to another man, or to Shupert.
Updated: On November 17, Darin Michael Shupert, an Idabel optometrist, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug parphernalia, driving without a driver’s license, displaying improper license plate decal, and possession of illegal game.
Shupert has had other charges placed against him in the past (2003), which were apparently dismissed.
