Escaped Sex Offender – Joseph Feinberg
40 year-old Joseph Feinberg has a conviction record going back as far as 1986. His crimes were committed in both Oklahoma and Cleveland Counties. In the last 22 years, Feinberg has been convicted of first degree arson, carrying a weapon, drugs or alcohol into a jail, larceny of an automobile, grand larceny, and, most recently, lewd molestation of a child younger than 16 years old –after a former conviction of a felony. Despite his lengthy list of convictions, and the fact that he is a child molester, Joseph Feinberg was spending his days at the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center, which is a minimum security facility. Some might have a rationale for this lenient treatment, but it really doesn’t justify the situation. Feinberg has walked away from this facility.
There was another facility, right there in the same town of McAlester, Oklahoma that was likely more suitable –The State Penitentiary, or any other maximum security facility throughout the state. Anyone that molests a child should, at the very least, be locked in a maximum security facility. The lenient treatment of these types of offenders has to stop. Feinberg walked away from the facility after a head count conducted on Thursday night.
