Ismael Angel Rios – Theater Director, Lewd Actor, Weirdo
Ismael Angel Rios, 27, was a director. He knew that directors could be powerful people. He especially liked the idea of the casting couch. Nothing unusual about that. We all know the stories of Hollywood. Except this wasn’t Hollywood and the actors he promised leading roles and star perks to, were children.
So Rios wasn’t a true director, he just a bad actor. Ismael Rios, of Sanford, Florida, had been the Wekiva River Players musical director for the last two years. He wa hired to instruct minors under 18 years of age –some as young as ten. The kids he victimized were 13, 14, and 15 years old. Rios took the girls to private rooms and the parking lot to fulfill his perverted desires.
Rios took each young girl aside at different times to begin his coercion. He told each one of them that he was working on a new play. He them what they would do for a part. When they said they would “do anything,” how could they have known what he would ask them next? After all, he was supposed to be a mentor. Rios told them to go either to his office or his car. He said he had a foot fetish. He unzipped his pants and told the girls to touch his genitals with their feet. One girl left, but two stayed and did what they were told.
Has Rios performed his final lewd act? We can only hope. Rios posted $10,000 bail Tuesday morning after being charged with three count of lew and lascivious behavior. After spending the night in the Seminole County jail, he is now back on the streets, at least for the time being.
