Who Killed Darla Caughman?
Darla Lovern Caughman was stabbed to death in her own home. The 62 year-old woman, who lived north of Sallisaw, Oklahoma on U.S. Highway 59, was found dead around 8:00 AM, Saturday by a home health care worker. The worker had visited regularly to help Caughman with the care of her 43 year-old son, who is autistic. Caughman’s throat had been cut. Investigators think her son may have seen the attack, but he is unable to speak.
No arrests have been made. Yesterday, the OSBI continued to collect evidence at the home.
