Michelle Lea Davis Is Home Safe!
Good news! Michelle Lea Davis is alive and well. Many people were worried about what happened to her. Her family was extremely concerned. Law enforcement and volunteers spent lots of time trying to find out if she was safe. Three weeks ago, her friends and family held a candlelight vigil as they held on to all hope.
Michelle Lea Davis showed up at the home of her mother, Barnie Mooneyham, on Friday. According to Deputy Sheriff Derall Summers "She stated that she was held hostage that time and that they had released her sometime Friday afternoon." Wow! An amazing story. An incredible story. Davis claims someone grabbed her from behind on August 7, after she pulled her car over because of a flat tire. Amnesia set in soon afterward, as Davis told deputies she cannot recall anything after that.
We are all glad that Michelle Lea Davis is safe and sound. Her children still have a mother. This is the best resolution we could hope for. However, there remain many unanswered questions. I’m sure that whoever is responsible for Michelle Davis’ disappearance will have to answer. Kidnapping is a crime that isn’t often taken lightly –and neither are false reports. Stories like this don’t often end so well.
Michelle Davis has some explaining to do, but she is alive. She should be thankful for that –and she should be thankful that so many well-meaning people kept her in their thoughts for so long. Welcome home, Michelle!
