Larry Wayne Martin, 52, of Livingston, Texas was staying at a motel in Roland, Oklahoma on August 29. A relative of Martin had dropped her kids off at the man’s motel room that day, where they spent the night. The next day, the mother decides to let them stay over, again. The ten year-old child refused to go and began crying. The child explained that Martin had been bothering him/her while she tried to sleep and was touching the child’s “private parts.” A rape kit indicated that the child had been molested.
Roland Assistant Chief Billy Cannon interviewed Larry Wayne Martin on September 1. Martin denied the accusations and said he needed an attorney.
Instead of getting an attorney, Martin cuts loose. He left his travel bag and cell phone behind. His tractor trailer was left in the parking lot. He left the keys on the driver’s seat locked the doors. Cannon spoke to the Martin’s employer, who was concerned about not being contacted by his employee of thirteen years.
Martin’s whereabouts are unknown. He may have went off somewhere to escape justice by killing himself. He may have decided to try and outrun the long arm of the law. Regardless, he is a threat along as he is alive and on the loose. A warrant was issued for Martin’s arrest on September 25.
If you have any information about the whereabouts of Larry Wayne Martin, please, contact the Roland Police Department.
