All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Just because someone is accused, does not necessarily mean they are guilty.
This fact, however, does not diminish the right of the people to hold their own opinion, or their right to express that opinion freely.

Dr. Weinle: Brush, Floss, & Smile – You’re on the Bathroom Spy Cam!

WeinleDr. Byron F. Weinle is a 58 year-old Houston, Texas dentist. He is married with two kids. He has had his own dentistry practice for 25 years. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1983. He’s been taping people, mostly women, in his office bathroom since 2001. Three of the victims may be minors.

One of Weinle’s employees found a tape left in a VCR in his office. Shocked to see candid video of someone’s restroom visit, the employee called the cops Monday, August 18. Weinle gave the police 11 of his voyeuristic tapes. The police then seized another dozen or so. Weinle claims to have made the tapes between 2001 and 2006. He told police that he stopped taping people in 2006 because he knew it was wrong. He cannot explain why he kept the tapes, but I don’t think that’s too hard to figure out. What’s he smiling about in that pic? Maybe it’s all that laughing gas.

Weinle had not just one, but three cameras covertly installed in the bathroom ceiling. Police cannot find the cameras and Weinle says he pulled them out in 2006. Hopefully, there not in service somewhere else. Most of the subjects found on the tapes are former employees of the creepy Dr. Weinle.

There were over 100 secretly taped victims that police know of. Former patients of Weinle’s are encouraged to call the police, who would very much like to speak with them. “Especially if you had young kids and they were with you in this office and you know they used the restroom during this time period, we really want to hear from you,” Houston Police Department Officer John Barnes said. You can call the Juvenile Sex Crimes Division at (713) 731-5326.

Weinle was released on an $80,000 bond. Each count carries up to two years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
