Just what does Padilla know now that anyone that followed this case from the beginning didn’t already know? He has to be the most clueless person on the planet. Even Geraldo found a bit of debris when he opened up Al Capone’s vault. Padilla chose a vault that shows no sign of ever being opened. He actually thought that Casey Anthony would talk once she was back in her home territory. I bet she did a lot of talking –about herself and her troubles.
We already knew the car smelled like decomp. We already knew that Casey was a lying sociopath. We already knew that Caylee is dead. She has been dead all along. Padilla actually acted like that was something we wanted to see. Everyone I know, everyone I’ve talked to, everyone that has visited this site, has wanted to see little Caylee alive.
Leonard Padilla got to go around playing the tough bounty role for the cameras. He was always with a toothpick between his gnashed teeth and a cowboy hat over his mushy head. Every time you saw this guy on TV he was angry, he was defensive. He was in over his head. Now he wants to revoke the bond. He got every drop of blood from this stone he can squeeze. Now he’s the one that needs a bail out.
Or maybe, just maybe, he thinks that the threat of going back to jail once she has been back home will be just the incentive needed to get that devious devil to talk. But which is worse to Casey Anthony, going back to sit in the jailhouse or being stuck with her tyrannical Mom? I guess Casey will weigh those options herself. The judgment and discretion she has show until now hasn’t helped anyone. I wouldn’t count on it to help Padilla reach the brass ring he had in his sights when he decided to interject himself into this case. But then, stranger things have happened.
