Accused Child Rapist Michael Portillo Goes To Court
The judge had to reschedule the preliminary hearing for accused child rapist Michael Portillo. We told you about Portillo when he was first charged in Stephens County with First Degree Rape of a person under fourteen. His alleged victim was actually a twelve year-old girl. We already know that Portillo is a dumbass, but now he’s trying to prove it in a court of law. Portillo, who is in the county jail on a $50,000 bond, hadn’t hired an attorney, nor has he applied for court appointed counsel. In his own words, according to the Lawton Constitution, Michael Portillo thought that it would “work itself out through the process.”
Portillo has until September 2 to get a lawyer so that they can actually hold a preliminary hearing. The victim attended the attempt at a hearing with her father. The child was escorted to the Courthouse by members of the local chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse, an organization of motorcycle enthusiasts whose aim is to protect and empower victims of child abuse.
The Assistant DA mad a motion to have Portillo tested for venereal disease and HIV, due to the nature of his alleged offense. The motion was approved, however, the results can not be used in his prosecution.
