.40 Caliber Weapon Used In Weleetka Double Homicide
One of the two weapons used to murder two little girls in Weleetka, Oklahoma was a 40 caliber. State agents test fired dozens of weapons brought in by Okfuskee County residents who had registered guns. Most of the residents complied with letters requesting their guns brought in. A few no longer had the guns, but they were able to direct officials to the new owners. Approximately 60 registered owners of .40 caliber guns were notified. Expenses were to be paid by those who could not afford the trip to Okfuskee County. Investigators are searching for one of the guns used to shoot down thirteen year-old Taylor Paschal-Placker, and eleven year-old Skyla Whitaker on June 8.
The guns were tested outside of the Okfuskee County Courthouse. The results will be processed by the OSBI. The OSBI is looking for weapons that may have been unwittingly loaned to the killer. The OSBI would also like assistance in locating unregistered .40-caliber weapons. If you know of an unregistered .40 caliber weapon, -please contact the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017. The weapon just may be the piece of evidence needed to catch the killer of these two innocent little girls.
