A 52 year-old real estate agent in California has been arrested for taking lewd photos of a little girl. On Thursday, August 21, Robin Blake pled not guilty to new charges relating to child pornography. Last month, Blake had pled either guilty or no contest to a misdemeanor charge of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor in Merced County Superior Court. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, but received credit for time served. He wasn’t required to register as a convicted sex offender. The charges were related to photos Blake had taken of 12 year-old girl. Merced County Deputies arrested 52-year-old Robin Blake, owner of Atwater-Merced Realty, on a federal warrant.

Robin Blake was investigated in 2005 by the Merced County Sheriff’s Department. A search warrant was served on Blake’s home in the 7000 block of Louise Court in Winton, California  in relation to accusations that he had been taking partially nude photographs of a little girl. Deputies found photos of the girl in question –and: over 100 pictures of child pornography and pornographic movies. He was arrested on suspicion of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child under the age of 14 and distributing harmful material to a minor with intent to seduce. This material was given to the F.B.I. who found that Blake has violated federal child pornography laws.

He’s says he’s looking for “friends that have some of the same interests and a basic lust for fun!” His interests: “My lover. My hot tub. Sex. Having fun!” His hobbies are “women and sex.”

Robin Blake’s motto is “Don’t Make A Move Without Me!” Blake was the 2001 “Realtor of the Year.”

Is Robin Blake a threat to children? Authorities will make some sort of decision in that regard. I suggest that parents and guardians make a few decisions of their own.  I’m speaking here in general terms concerning any adult. Someone may not be on a sex offender registry; that doesn’t necessarily mean that person is trustworthy. Character judgments can be difficult to make. The safest route is to never let your kids be alone with anyone.

Child pornographers can be insidious in their activity. They often disguise what they do by calling it “art.” Kids should be kids. They should be allowed their innocence. Children are already growing up much too fast. We don’t need lecherous men (and women) hastening that process in the interest of their own selfishness. When we see grown men in Wal-Mart talking to each other about how “hot” that Miley Cyrus kid is, what does that say about society? The selfishness of adults is not good for our children. There’ll be plenty of time for them to be adults –when they are grown. Childhood is something that can taken away so easily. You can’t give it back once it is gone.
