On June 28, I authored a post concerning the Touma case, in which I referenced several cases where pregnant women were murdered by the would be fathers of their children. When I mentioned the most famous of these killers, Scott Peterson, I unwittingly placed my blog in the sights of a member of his group of disciples. You see, there is a group of people out there that spread the gospel according to Scott. This group has ignored or rationalized away the evidence that placed Scott Peterson on California’s death row. They have been convinced by the weak case presented by Scott’s defense. Some of these unenlightened individuals even believe that Laci Peterson was killed by a woman who wanted her baby. They seem to ignore the fact that the baby was also murdered. Some of these folks don’t really give a damn about Scott’s guilt or innocence, they only defend him because they would like to see killers like Scott hang around and grow old.

One of these defenders of Scott Peterson, an entity who goes by the moniker “A Voice of Sanity” added me to their list of blogs where Scott’s innocence would be sold like rotten fish. The comment left by the Voice of Sanity introduced me to the Scott Peterson Apologist Zone (S.P.A.Z). You can tell when someone is in this zone by the lack of logic used in making their case, and the arrogant attitude and abuse doled out to those that disagree. One of the main arguments used by A Voice of Sanity are the supposed sightings of Laci Peterson after her disappearance. The ignore the fact that her body was found where Scott did his “fishing.”

Had A Voice of Sanity done a little reading before posting on this site, he or she would have learned that apologists for murderers have no place here. This is site policy and one that I strongly enforce. The only reason the comments haven’t been deleted as of yet, and the only reason I am even providing this person any attention whatsoever, is because I feel that readers need to know who and what this person stands for.

This person, who posts these comments and allegations on whatever post a Google search of Scott Peterson;s name leads them to, does so anonymously. This person says things most vile and vicious against the justice system and people who know what Scott really did. But who is this so-called “Voice of Sanity?” What is their true agenda? Is he/she a member of a death row abolishment group? One of Scott’s pen pals? A love interest? Who knows?

What we do know are the comments made by this individual (I can use Google, too). Consider the following comment left on Greta Van Susteren’s blog on September 12th, 2007. This comment was left following the death of Stanislaus County D.A. James Brazelton, Scott’s prosecutor?

Wouldn’t it be ironic if all of those who falsely accused Scott Peterson and conspired to convict him despite the evidence wound up dead? Or would that be too much like God’s perfect justice?

Pretty sleazy comment, huh? But wait, that’s not all. When beloved judge Alfred Delucchi passed away this same “Voice of Sanity” had this to say on March 6 of this year:

And now Judge Delucchi joins those on the Scott Peterson Dead Pool. Hmmm, makes you think.

Remember the story about the woman whose nipple ring was removed by pliers going through airport security? A Voice of Sanity had this to say about security on March 28:

It’s all for show - there is no real security. I could easily get 4 lb of explosives through the X-ray machines and they would never spot it even if they were holding it in their hands (no, I won’t say how) and it’s just as easy to get liquid explosives past them too despite their stupid rules. What’s next - we all have to fly naked?

Tell me that isn’t something creepy to say in this day and age –and this from a supposed Voice of Sanity.

Frustrated by those who cannot be convinced of Scott’s innocence so easily, A Voice of Sanity launches into this meaningless rant:

You confused him with one of his clones. He used his super powers to make two clones of himself. While he headed east to play golf and was arrested outside the golf club, one clone headed north to kill Frey which it did, shutting her up forever. Then it went to Canada and opened a string of terrorist training camps disguised as Tim Hortons. Meanwhile it was the other clone who went south to Mexico in his flying saucer where it exports meth to the USA by stuffing it up the assholes of pigeons.

O.K. One Scott is enough, thank you. In fact, he was too much.

When all else fails, play the race card (even though Scott was very much white when he was convicted):

Scott was lynched by the same sort of people (and with the same sadistic enthusiasm) who lynched blacks and didn’t give a damn about facts.

Concerning Peterson’s apparent lack of grief and his avoiding of family, prosecutor Rick Distaso said:

…you want to see true grief, please look at that picture of Sharon Rocha. That’s true grief. Look at those people. That’s after the vigil is over. That’s true grief right there, like somebody ripped their heart out.

To this A Voice of Sanity said:

This is just the opinion of Distaso – it is valueless as evidence.

Yes, this person is just all heart, right? A Voice of Sanity says that those who believe that Scott Peterson is guilty and should be punished to the full extent of the law are “hate filled idiots” and “Sick, sick, evil people.”

I have allowed this person to have their say here on my blog, even though I am strongly against such apologists. I can understand that some bloggers choose to remain anonymous for whatever reasons. That is perfectly fine. To “A Voice of Sanity” I say this: When you come to my blog with a history of abusing and accusing those who believe that killers like Scott Peterson should be punished for their crimes, you should afford me the same courtesy given to you and reveal your identity. This would show your good faith and let your alliances and agenda be known. It would also aid law enforcement in investigating your veiled threats. I’m not going to go point/counterpoint with you. That would be futile because you refuse to use logic and you refuse to answer the tough questions.Your time within my domain is very limited. Use it wisely, or don’t use it at all.

In the meantime, Scott Peterson is getting to know his prison mates very well. He’s known to be pen pals with Richard Ramirez, better known as “The Night Stalker.” In case you’re not familiar with Scott’s new friend, he is the evil killer and self-described Satan Worshipper who beat, bound, raped, stabbed, slashed, shot, and murdered his victims back in the 1980s. The Sacramento Bee reports the two killers write each other on a weekly basis. Scott says the things they discuss are “confidential.” How sweet!
